Stephen Renteria

Stephen is currently celebrating his 3rd season as the Production Sound Engineer for the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. While at the Rep he has served as FOH Mix Engineer for Winesburg, OH and Into the Woods, as well as the World Premiers of A Christmas Story: The Musical and Time Magazine’s Best Musical of 2010, Venice. He also Engineered the Lyrics Opera’s production of Charlotte’s Web, Quixotic’s Spencer Theatre production of Lux Esalare as well as other Rep productions.

Stephen hails from Amarillo, Texas, where he worked in Regional Mexican and Pop radio as an On Air Personality, Commercial Producer, Music Director, Interim Operations Manager, and Account Executive. He was also the Producer of the live broadcast show for the Amarillo Gorillas Professional Hockey team.

Stephen has an A.S. in English Literature and Music from Amarillo College and an A.A.S. in Audio Engineering from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He is a member of the AES and also serves on the KCKCC Audio Engineering Program Advisory Board.
