Billy Pullen

Billy wears many hats as teacher, writer, and actor, but he is first and foremost a teacher. Winner of state and national awards for teaching, including Excellence for Secondary Teaching from the National Council of Teachers of English, Billy teaches International Baccalaureate English and Literature Performance at Germantown High School. He has an MA in Theatre from the University of Memphis and an MFA in Creative Writing from Sewanee, the University of the South. His non-fiction writing has appeared in Narrative, Literary Oak Foliate, and The Legendary. His work at Chatterbox, his favorite community theatre, includes “Markheim” and an all-time favorite “Argonautica.” He also serves as judge for the Memphis Ostranders.
