Barclay Roberts

Barclay's many credits at Theatre Memphis include Howard in Picnic, Captain Georg von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd, Victor Fleming in Moonlight and Magnolias, Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple, Artie Shaughnessey in The House of Blue Leaves (for which he received an Ostrander nomination), Ivan in Art, David in Company, Harold ‘Mitch’ Mitchell in A Streetcar Named Desire, Horace Vandergelder in Hello, Dolly!, and Beauregard Burnside in Mame. Other Memphis credits include How I Learned to Drive; The Retreat From Moscow; The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?; Love! Valour! Compassion!; and Assassins. Barclay can also be seen playing one of Sean Penn’s co-worker friends in the film 21 Grams.
