Dean Zachary

Dean Zachary

After earning a Graphic Design degree from Mississippi State University, Dean spent several years as a Commercial Artist for ad agencies in Atlanta, GA. His lifelong passion for drawing led him into the imaginative world of comic books. He returned to the Mid-South to pursue a career as a comic book artist. Since then, Dean has illustrated various titles, ranging from Green Lantern: Elseworlds to Batman: Day of Judgment. Dean's recent work includes Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic #38 and DC Comics Halloween Special 2010, which features a Wonder Woman short story. While his day job at FedEx as a Multimedia Adviser keeps him busy, he is also currently working on a superhero comic called Phoenix for Atlas Comics, an independent publisher.

Dean makes regular appearances at Memphis Comics & Fantasy Convention and MidSouth Con every year to sign books and meet fans.

Dean's other interests include discussing the latest sci fi/fantasy film with anyone who will listen, playing the guitar, and practicing martial arts. Dean currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee.
