Lena Wallace Black

Lena Wallace

Teaching Artist

Lena Wallace Black has a BFA in Theatre Performance from The University of Memphis, where she appeared in some good stuff like The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Talk Radio, Love in a Time of War (which got her an Irene Ryan Nomination), and Bat Boy The Musical (which got her an Ostrander Nomination). Since graduating, Lena has been entertaining children in the Memphis area by "theatre hopping" -- first to Playhouse on the Square for their touring productions of Aesop's Fable-ous Christmas Tree and The Frog Prince, then to Germantown Community Theatre for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Lend Me a Tenor (well, that one wasn't for the kids). She has recently landed at Theatre Memphis as a member of their performance troupe ShoWagon, which will bring many fabulous stories to children in their schools all year long. Lena is beyond lucky to have weaseled her way into some pretty fantastic experiences with Chatterbox so far, and hopes for many more opportunities to do the same in the near future.
