Doug Johnson

Doug Johnson is a Memphis-area teacher and performer. He has been aligned with organizations such as Theatre Memphis, Germantown Community Theatre, Memphis Grizzlies Team Up Program, the University of Memphis, and several others. Doug's theatrical specialties include stilt-walking, Commedia dell'Arte, clown, and devised performance. He also sculpts masks which have been used in theatres all over Memphis, and a little outside as well. Doug's first work with Chatterbox came as a Theatre Memphis/Chatterbox collaboration to bring the professional actors of ShoWagon to aid in performances for the Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Outside of Chatterbox, Doug's credits include Guildenstern in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Flute in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Big Stone in Eurydice, and at least three different foxes. He believes he is being typecast.
