Ron Jewell

Jewell, a native Memphian, currently serves as Vice President of Operations of the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts and Education, the Orpheum’s new performing arts venue. Ron was formerly the Director of the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center (1999-2015); Marketing Director of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra (1984-1994) during Maestro Alan Balter’s tenure; Director of Entertainment and Promotions with The Peabody Hotel (1982-1984); and Account Executive (1977-1982) with Susan Bloch and Co. in New York City, an arts management and public relations firm representing music, dance, and theatre both “On and Off- Broadway”.

Having completed over 2,000 performances in over half the states of the U.S., Ron is also widely identified for his own touring one-man theatrical show, "Mark Twain At-Large."
