Ryan Kathman

Ryan Kathman is an actor, director, educator, playwright, dialect coach, and fight choreographer, originally from Omaha, who has worked in theatre and film in Nebraska, Minnesota, Kansas, and Tennessee, among other places. He has an MFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Acting for Stage and Screen and is currently a Theatre and English teacher at St. Benedict at Auburndale High School in Cordova. Locally, some of his favorite projects have been at Playhouse on the Square (Peter and the Starcatcher, Spamalot, and The 39 Steps), Theatre Memphis (Doubt, Glengarry Glen Ross, and his upcoming one-man show One-Ham Manlet) and with his own resident company at the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center, the Bartlett Repertory Company (A Streetcar Named Desire, Stones in His Pockets, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare ... Abridged). Directing credits include the upcoming Hamlet (New Moon Theatre), Inherit the Wind (Germantown Community Theatre), and The Underpants (BRC). Regional credits include The Rivals (The Jungle Theatre, Minneapolis), Humble Boy (Nebraska Repertory Theatre) and directing Twelfth Night at the Lawrence Arts Center in Kansas. Ryan is grateful for the unique opportunity to work on a Chatterbox production and, above all, hopes Jenny, Gracie, and George enjoy listening.
