Alec LaBau

Alec is entering his third year as an MFA student in the sound design program at UMKC. He is pleased to be working with Chatterbox. His recent stage designs include: Glengarry Glen Ross, Desdemona, Taking Sides, and A Lesson from Aloes with Actors Theatre Kansas City. Other recent designs include Five By Tenn (+one) and The Cure at Troy for UMKC, The Clean House at the Unicorn Theatre, and Our Town for the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre. Alec received his BFA in sound design from Utah State University, where his design credits include James and the Giant Peach, Macbeth, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and the original work Scope. He also completed designs for the Old Lyric Repertory Company (Logan, UT) including Enchanted April, Moon Over Buffalo, and The Hollow. Alec would like to thank his wife and son for their love and support.
